CanFISH Gear Lending Program

Company Description:

The CanFish Gear Lending Program provides solutions and support to fish harvesters impacted by fisheries closures due to whale presence. Through the program, harvesters are provided with on-demand fishing gear, free of cost, to allow them to continue fishing and minimize negative impacts to their livelihood.

The CanFISH team provides licensing, recommendations, and training to effectively use on-demand gear in their fishery. Based in Halifax, NS, we support harvesters throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
